I hope my blog inspires you to discover the world and know that its never too late to embark on adventures and have new experiences. Let’s toast to discovering new places!
My Travel Story
Growing up, I hardly traveled outside my home city- Accra, Ghana (except when I left for school) not to talk of travel outside the borders of my country. Given the circumstances of my life at the time, the passion for travel was never ignited. However, things would change after pursuing further education overseas.
….All it took was Canada
In 2016, I moved to Canada for my masters and this opened my eyes to the beautiful world out there. Although I lived in Canada for more than a year before finally visiting the States, I got to know what it meant to be free and to make bold decisions. Just seeing the iconic Niagara Falls was enough to catch the travel bug and follow my passion.
….Did I go flying out every month?
Initially, I wasn’t ready to go through the hassle of visa applications. However, getting my first Visa to the United States for a road trip made me know what was possible, but I still wasn’t ready to fully delve into international trips.
… Fast Forward to 2023
As someone who is very meticulous with their finances, I was not going to spend all my money on expensive international trips. Also, I only intended to travel with friends.
The passion was so intense that I could no longer wait on a huge income influx or on friends to see the world. In the first quarter of 2023, I made an intentional decision to at least take a trip every quarter with my limited PTO and even if I had to go Solo. Months later I have visited 8 US states and 4 countries. I may not have visited all the countries in the world, but I know I have created lasting memories and have no regrets.
….My note to you
I hope my story and blog inspires you to know that it is never too late to start exploring the world. It is not only about ticking destinations off a map, but it’s about connecting with people, learning and experiencing different cultures and having unforgettable memories.

Pool. Although I cannot swim, I always check for this amenity. There is just something about the thought of lounging by the pool after a full day of adventure that I can’t do without. Interestingly enough, I sometimes I never get to use them. LOL
